Rules and Regulations

  1. Fee once paid shall not be refunded.
  2. Every class shall have a member of the teaching staff as their Class Guide.  Students can seek help from their Class Guide to address their personal and academic problems. A record of their conduct and behaviour will be maintained by the Class Guide and will be reported to the Principal and the parents of the student.
  3. Students should wear the uniform prescribed by the College. Boys should keep their hair short and neat. Action will be initiated against any student who violates this code.
  4. Books, Newspapers, Magazines and any other kind of literature not approved by the Principal are not allowed to be brought to the college. Mobile phones and Cameras should not be brought inside the College Campus.
  5. The use of alcohol / drugs / pan (beeda) / cigarettes / edible gum or any other form of chewing substance is strictly prohibited inside the College premises.
  6. During any free time on campus, the Students are advised to make use of the library / reading room fruitfully.
  7. Students should not be seen loitering outside the class after the second bell. They should be seated in their respective seats until the Lecturer arrives, without disturbing the neighbouring classes.
  8. Writing and marking on the walls, blackboard and furniture is strictly prohibited. Displaying vulgar writings and obscene pictures in the class rooms or elsewhere is forbidden.
  9. Students should take proper care of their personal belongings like books, stationery, etc. The College shall not be held responsible for the loss of any of their articles.
  10. Students attending classes or meetings in the College should be neatly dressed in uniform in accordance with the dress-code.
  11. Letters addressed to the Students received at the College address is subject to scrutiny by the Principal
  12. No Meeting shall be held or new activities taken up in the college without the previous permission of the Principal.
  13. Students shall not loiter in the College premises and near the Lecture halls, irrespective of the fact whether they have college hours or not. Students should keep the identity card with them duly signed by the Principal and photo attached to it and they should present the same whenever asked for.
  14. Students should not enter other classes irrespective of the fact that it is class hours or not. Students who face problems from fellow students should report it immediately to the Principal or Lecturers.
  15. Students should see the Notice Board every day for daily updates to keep in touch with the day-to-day activities of the College.
  16. Students shall not be allowed to remain in the College campus beyond 5 p.m. for extra-curricular activities under any circumstances. The students playing sports should tender their photo identity card while borrowing equipment and return it in time and in good condition.
  17. The behaviour of the students in Lecture classes and in the College premises should be     exemplary. The College, though not responsible, will take cognizance of any serious misconduct committed by students outside the College premises. Students should not loiter around in groups outside or within the vicinity of the College campus.
  18. Irregularity in attendance, insubordination, non-submission of assignments or work books in time, neglect of work, discourtesy to Lecturers in word or act, destruction of Class or College property, or any other wrongful activity committed or connived with, are punishable by one or more of the following penalties.1) Severe warning 2) Loss of attendance 3) Levy of fine 4) Temporary dismissal 5) Permanent dismissal
  19. If indiscipline or misconduct by a Class or by a section of Students becomes so serious that normal functioning of the Lecture Class is not possible, the entire Class will be kept under suspension until normalcy is restored.
  20. The Parents/Guardians are required to call on the Principal if circumstances warrant, and help the College administration to maintain student discipline.
  21. Participation in Co-curricular & Extra Curricular activities is compulsory.
  22. Railway & Bus Concessions: Concessions for students coming from outside Mangaluru City by Train or KSRTC bus are available. Such Students may furnish their home address to the college office at the time of admission & avail the concessions.
  23. Students shall not take part in political agitation directed against the authority of Government. They should not participate in any public movement without previous permission of the Principal.
  24. The original T.C. of the institution last attended, given by the candidates at the time of admission (joining to P.U.C. Classes) will not be returned under any circumstances as per rule of the Education Department. Students should not demand original T.C. under any circumstances.
  25. Any Certificate applied for by the Student will be issued 3 days after the application
  26. Rules for issue of Duplicate TC: Those applying for duplicate TC should furnish an Affidavit on Rs. 20/- non-judicial stamp paper, duly attested by a Notary Public. A complaint should be lodged with the Police Station to which the Student belongs, and a copy of the complaint should be submitted to the Principal. Only on receipt of these documents, duplicate TC will be issued. For candidates from outside Mangaluru City or outside Karnataka State, a Letter of Authority should be produced by his/her representative at the time of receiving the duplicate TC.
  27. Rules for issue of Duplicate II PUC marks card:  Applications should be accompanied by the challan for having paid the prescribed fees into the District Treasury. The duplicate marks card will be issued on receipt of the same from the P.U.E. Board.
  28. The National Anthem is played daily at 9:30 a.m. to inculcate patriotism and a sense of national integration among the students.

Class Guides

Class Guides are assigned every year for all the classes under both Arts and Commerce streams. These Guides ensure that students are given personal attention in academics, Extra-Curricular activities and personality development.
The class guides monitor academic progress of all the students under their supervision and ensure guidance as appropriate.

Scholarship

The college facilitates provision of Government scholarship by guiding the students to apply for the same. College or private scholarships may also be offered based on merit.

Special Coaching

Special coaching will be given to academically bright students i.e. those who have excelled in second Pre-University Preparatory Examination.

Remedial Classes

Students who need special attention and slow learners are encouraged to deliver enhanced performance through special and remedial classes which are organized prior to the examination.

Counsellor Assistance

On a need basis the college can provide access and refer to an empaneled Counsellor.
