About Ganapathy Pre-University (Aided) College
It was a proud moment for the Saraswat Education Society (SES) when it added the Ganapathy Pre-University College to its existing Hampankaṭṭa (Mangaluru) Campus on 2nd July 1972. Offering quality Higher Secondary education in Commerce and Arts and strengthened by the legendary reputation of its parent Institution, the Ganapathy Pre-University College quickly attracted students not only from Mangaluru but also from Kasargoḍ, Manjeshwar and Kanhangaḍ. The College is located in the lush green 2.3-acre campus of the Ganapathy High School (GHS) on GHS Road, which also includes the Ganapathy English Medium School.
Message from the Principal
A hearty welcome to all of you to our website which gives an insight into our esteemed Institution – Ganapathy Pre-University College (Aided). Our College was started by the Saraswat Education Society® in 1972 to commemorate the centenary year celebration of Ganapathy High School from 1870 to 1970. The College campus is situated in the heart of the city in Hampankatta, Mangaluru.
The College is in an independent socio-cultural heritage building, with modern amenities. It is known for its rich history and is reputed for its academic excellence. The College has a strong tradition of providing high quality education and is proud of its many achievements and accolades received over the years. However, to ensure the overall development and improvement of the College, our new website will help us to be open to new ideas and perspectives.
The goal of our College is primarily to provide education to students from economically backward communities, irrespective of caste and creed. A dedicated faculty is striving hard to impart knowledge and skills to the students that will help them to excel in this fiercely competitive world. Our campus is vibrant with energy, enthusiasm, and activity and this environment is congenial for learning. It is up to every student to take full advantage of the opportunities to develop to become responsible citizens.
We thank our management for planning and developing this website, which enables us to connect with all our stakeholders and well-wishers to convey important notifications and share the details of our activities and achievements.
